Disability Access

At the Hallmark Channel we've been listening to our viewers to see how we can improve our services to ensure that everyone has access to programme information in a way that's easy to use and understand.

Deaf and hard of hearing viewers have access over 860 hours a year of Hallmark programmes which have been subtitled, and/or feature In Vision Signing. Blind and visually impaired viewers will be able to access over 168 hours of programmes that are Audio Described.
In Vision Signing and Subtitling will be available to all our viewers, while Audio Description will be available to Sky digital viewers only.

TV Guide

For step-by-step instructions on how to obtain Audio Description and/or Subtitling services, free of charge, from your cable/satellite provider see below:

Sky digital customers

To obtain Audio Description and/or Subtitles:
  • Select 'Services' on your remote
  • Select no 4 - System Setup
  • Select no 3 - Languages & Subtitles
  • Then for Audio Description set Favourite Language / Audio to 'Narrative'
  • For Subtitles select your arrow key to 'On'
  • Arrow key down and 'Save New Settings'
Once you have saved new settings you can press the 'Sky' button to return you to your programme.

Virgin Media Customers

To obtain Subtitling:
  • Bring up your Next and Now bar
  • Press the yellow Button
  • Toggle between Subtitles ON and Subtitles OFF
